Dark Forest King | Hand sculpted Sphalerite Skull

In the heart of the forgotten wood, where sunlight dared not pierce and the trees whispered secrets in ancient tongues, ruled the Dark Forest King.
He was no man, nor beast, but a relic of the earth—his skull carved from deep, dark sphalerite, glittering faintly with hidden fire. Time had not worn him down; it had crowned him. A jagged circlet of black and smoky quartz sat upon his head, sculpted by hand and nature alike. Real moss crept over its edges, soft and alive, while mushrooms—some red-capped, others pale as bone—sprouted from the crevices of his ancient face.
Pakimer diamonds gleamed coldly in the center of his crown, one embedded deep within a hollow eye socket, another growing like a tear from his cheek. They were not placed there, but born from within him, as if the forest itself had birthed a sovereign from its rot and beauty.
It is said the Dark Forest King stirs when the balance tips—when too much is taken from the land without offering something back. Travelers who wander too far into his realm sometimes return changed, speaking in riddles, eyes flickering with unnatural light. Others do not return at all, only moss-covered bones found curled at the roots of blackened trees.
But some, the brave or the foolish, leave offerings: rare crystals, bones etched with runes, fungi still wet with forest dew. In return, they may glimpse him—just a flicker of shadow, a glint of diamond, the scent of earth and storm—and leave with a strange peace in their chest, as if the forest itself had decided to let them go.
The Dark Forest King does not speak. He listens. And the forest listens with him.
