Once, there was a fairy named Ulliana, known throughout the forest for her radiant wings that shimmered like sunlight on water. But her light dimmed when a love she trusted shattered her heart, leaving her adrift in a world that seemed suddenly cold. In her grief, she was captured by a collector who sought to claim her beauty for his own. He trapped her in a glass box, setting her fragile form atop a large crystal as though she were no more than a trophy.

The years passed, and though the fairy’s wings tattered and frayed, something unexpected began to bloom from the scar left by her broken heart. Mushrooms sprouted in hues of soft ivory and deep russet. Moss crept over her delicate shoulders, vibrant and alive. From her chest, where her wound had once ached, small crystals grew, shimmering faintly with an inner light. She became a garden of resilience, a living testament to transformation.

Within the confines of her glass prison, the fairy sat serenely on the crystal that cradled her. Around her, wild mushrooms and moss flourished, creating a tiny, enchanted forest within the box. Her once broken heart had become a source of life, turning her sorrow into something exquisite.

Though her wings were no longer whole, she wore them like a warrior wears scars—proof of survival, a badge of enduring beauty. And in her stillness, she found a kind of freedom, her spirit unbroken, her inner light a reminder that even in captivity, even in sorrow, life can grow in the most unexpected places.

About this oddity:

Made from sodalite and adorned with tiny hand foraged mushrooms, fungi and real moss. Tiny pakimer diamond twinkle on her body and around her setting. Her wings are a combined cicada and grasshopper wings. The insects were found dead on the forest floor and given a new life within this beautiful oddity. Please note these creations are to be handled with care as they can be fragile with the amount of intricate details, it’s best to find it’s final resting place and leave it to be admired by eyes only, over time the moss will dull which is a natural part of the design so should not be considered a fault. This piece comes inside the handmade glass box
